On shipping!

YES! My Pukifee order is on shipping as of today! Milk is finally coming home! Wooooohoooo! And my husband is all yay too, his two Pukifees are also coming in that package. I hope I get Korean newspaper..

On the flipside, I’m really sick and had the worst night in the history of mankind, semi-conscious with awful chills and weird colorful halos. The day has been better, temperature has stayed relatively low. I’m hoping tonight will be easier to sleep, last night really exhausted me. Also I had to delay all shippings because of this so I have a handful of stuff to send out.

I’m finished with the Christmas swap package and I’m going to beat my husband into finishing his during this weekend because I want to ship both swap packages as soon as humanly possible. Also have to send off the outfit I made for my friends incoming Narae who is finally really coming. I think she ordered her in June or something and now she’s finally in this order that is guaranteed by Christmas. And.. the commission I had and Etsy purchase and I’m sure I’m forgetting something here…

Anyway since all posts are better with pictures, here’s the commission piece (first version is totally available since she wanted adjustments made, this is the final version):

So anyway scurrying off to bed again. Blehblehbleh! But YAY for Milk coming home!

All sorts of crafty

All day yesterday spent crocheting for a commission. Hands are feeling a bit tired but no biggie. I hope she will like it but if not, again no biggie, can always make something else :)

Anyway long blabber aside, picture:

Also, saw my first customer photos (okay, with all honesty, one is the contest winner) and it’s soooo coool! Never thought it would feel this great! Anyway wanted to share :)

Emma’s lovely Claudia with the contest prize bag:

And Troublesomegirl’s fabulous droolworthy Casper with his bag:

Aanyway cool :) I’ll finish the orange dress today, it still needs closures. If the commissioner is happy, next step will be a few more messenger bags I think. We’ll see.

And oh the horror, three MNFs moved into my wishlist. It’s scary, the list was promisingly empty after the LTF Ante Elf that I’m saving for now. Oh and her outfit arrived yesterday! It needs pants but it rocks! And I just adore these Luts shoes!

Anyway now off to go get some milk for my coughing kid. Warm milk with honey hopefully will help a bit, she is coughing pretty much nonstop.

Christmas!

Since Christmas is nearly at the door (or well for shoppers at least with all these shipping times and whatnot), now my Christmas collection is done and up and ready to go. Also, shipping costs are now permanently cheaper since I found another way to ship them that’s a bit cheaper. And, huge SALE! Since Christmas means shopping for tons of friends, you shouldn’t have wind blowing in your wallet midway heh. All the stuff in my Etsy except the bags and Christmas collection is severely marked down for the holiday period.

But anyway, here are the thingies! First up, the one of the kind outfit that consists of the dress and headband:

Then the bag collection – also one of a kind and nothing similar will ever be made by me. So only five of this sort for all eternity or something :P White as snow with festive blingy bits :) Hopefully it won’t cut pictures edge off again…

And one of Cookie wearing one of these bags:

It was an incredibly challenging collection. The metal floss is super hard to control and embroider with, definitely could use more practice. It’s not available here so I’ve never had the chance to try it out before. The dress posed quite a few challenges as well, specially with the tulle part but it all worked out in the end. I hope people will like this collection :) I didn’t really want to go with the regular red and green and Christmas trees, just a bit more festive then casual so all of it could be worn after Christmas as well.

And now I’m going to take a wee bit of a break from sewing, fingers aren’t really up to it right now. So there will be a small break in listings.

And now for something completely different… :D Fairyland told me my order will be shipped “sometime after the end of next week” which is the vaguest answer possible. I can’t suppress the hope that it means they will ship on the week after the next but yeah… Cookie is driving me bananas with asking where is Milk every day (thanks alot Assam!).

I did put myself back on savings for Lilo, in a moment of complete and utter fail of self control, I ordered more shoes for Pukifee kids. Or as my husband calls them, Cookiefees :D I did feel guilty for a while but Cookie has been such a champ with all these fittings and photoshoots, she actually does deserve them.

Right so that’s my doll life at the moment :)

I wanted to actually talk about how the bag contest went :) I’m absolutely thrilled with it – people totally outdid themselves! I couldn’t pick the winner so I let random decide.

So blablabla aside, here’s the winner, Emma ma with her lovely Claudia:

I’m sure you agree she’s a total sweetheart! You can see Emma ma’s Flickr photostream HERE.

Also, lookie how wonderful the others were:

Troublesomegirl - at the time of the photo she didn’t have her PKF yet. I think this is an absolutely brilliant way of going around that hehe. Her FlickrĀ HERE.

AmeMew – I just love this kitty girl! Her Flickr HERE.

Lilly Kitten - I think this is completely adorable, the little trunk and everything! Her Flickr HERE.

Rainbow-dolls – such a sweet sweet girl with her tiny animal friends! Her Flickr HERE.

ReineDeLaSeine14 – who can resist a girl who carries around everything except the kitchen sink? :D Her Flickr HERE.

TeaPartyRevolution – oh my, look at all those shoes! And Pukifee army! Truly impressive! Her Flickr HERE.

Also there were two more participants who I’ll link since I don’t have the permission to post those pictures here. So you can go see in their Flickr!

BeadedExtravagance - really cute picture, love the rabbit! Clicky HERE.

Marryth – I got giggles of that head… totally cool! Clicky HERE.

Thank you everyone who participated, you all gave me such wonderful emotions, I will definitely have more contests in the future!

In other news, the Christmas ooak bag collection is done and has five simple yet glitz-n-glam bags, won’t show just yet so this is just a teaser :P Yup and that’s it for now! Take care!

Yes indeed, I am becoming the Bag Lady. Or bag-lady. Or BagLady. Or whatever.

Reason being, yes! Four more bags listed and more will come in the future. I have a busy week ahead so it won’t be too soon but hey, still! They are seriously fiddly things to make and my fingers are all numb from attaching massive amounts of velcro but still, enjoyable. Though my own dolls are last in line to get their own bags. Cookie does enjoy modeling though. Oh and she got new eyes!

But picture tells a thousand words as they say (though it keeps cutting one edge of my pictures, no idea why):

So yes.

In other news – woohoo I crossed the half point in saving for LTF Ante Elf! And I decided to go with basic instead of fullset since I will be styling her differently anyway and I’m not sure if I really need that sleeping faceplate. Plus basic ships two weeks earlier mwahahah! So if all goes well, I might be able to order her within this year. Yay!

Still no news of Milk, Pino and Lucy.

Righty. Oh and a picture of Cookies new eyes:

Well. What’s up? Not much.

Started a contest on Flickr – here, then listed the bags to Etsy, went to school for the first day after two weeks of illness, shipped everything out that had been waiting to be shipped, felt joy and sorrow looking at my Paypal balance, contemplated switching the dream-LTF-to-be from fullset to basic (do I really need that sleeping faceplate?), sent a ton of mails, been mommy, been wife, fed the cat, dragged the cat away from those oh-how-yummy shoelaces, drooled on LTF pictures, squealed at Annefia’s Agnes, drooled some more, grumbled about the lack of LTF Ante Elves to drool over, jumped of joy seeing I have 9 people who heart my shop, got my shop listed in Lati Yellow resource thread, sold Cupid multihead (for a sandwich price, mind you), dragged the cat away from that oh-how-delicious bubblewrap, contemplated falling asleep on the keyboard whilst writing this, thought more about LTF-to-be, thought about Milk, cursed Narindoll for new face and hand options (which I have to hide from my husbands view, SO his cup of tea) and now I’m off to make dinner.

So yes, not much :P

Oh and a picture of all the bags, I just love how people have so different favorites. One is sold, the brown apple tree one. I specially love the red mushroom one.

Etsy open

Yes. My Etsy is now open. I’m exhausted of all the picture taking-picture cropping-uploading-checking-doublechecking-triplechecking. So no long babble, just wanted to record this event for later nostalgia ;)

Oh yes, link too – Kirika Dawn’s Dollery

Thanks, I’ll go faint now.

The bag story

So on my quest to making all kinds of tiny things, I’ve ventured into bag-making for a while. I’m planning to make around 6-7 bags with tiny contents which will go for sale once they’re all done (like a collection or something of the sort).

It all started with a prototype to figure out if I can even make something so fiddly and tiny and if so, then how exactly. The size does pose some serious challenges and technical revisions, had to figure out some kinks and rethink some classical moves. But this was the prototype:

Lined and everything:

Things started to evolve from there, some adjustments and stuff later, yesterday the first bag was complete with contents. This one has a tiny knitting project and a notebook-sort-of-thingy and the bag is actually designed around the knitting idea meaning the flap opens higher then it normally would so the needles will fit nicely and won’t cause any disruption in the shape of the bag. Which also means you could stuff a lot of things in it with it still closing :P

So yes. It’s a project in progress.

In other handcraft news – I’m still waiting for those buttons to get here so I could finish up the load of crochet shirts and finally put something on my Etsy. Hopefully they will come soon. Last time I bought something from that store, it got here in a week. This time it’s been two weeks so I hope it’s any day now. Also I really need to figure out a lightbox or something of the sort, this small amount of blue daylight does not really work out well.

Also from the Christmas swap in BJF I’ve finished one a bit bigger project and one is still waiting for the final touches which means I really have to go get more snaps. Really. I seem to eat them, I can go through 20 snaps in a second and have no idea where they all went (come on, it couldn’t take more then a snap or three per piece! Where are my 20?!). My husband is really excited about the swap and he has very creative ideas about what he wants to make for it. I promised to help him out if he has any technical questions but he has to make his swap items. Anyway the entire swap is a work in progress too and I will definitely post pictures once the whole thing is done, can’t give anything away just yet! I am giving my muse a head ache though with wanting to make unique pieces for it though :D

So being sick has it’s advantages – so much time for handcraft! They did finally put me on antibiotics though so hopefully I’ll be healthy and perky soon. Or something.

Right. So anyway once my husband wakes up so I can put the lights on, I will continue work on the second bag. I can tell you it involves flowers and bees!

So hello my new blog!

This is pretty much the place for me to have windy inner monologues about dolls and handcraft and to someday look back fondly and get all nostalgic about it all :P

So what’s going on now? Well I’m trying to open my Etsy store soon, still waiting on buttons to give finishing touches to the existing lot of Pukifee tops. And also some light would be good to retake pictures (pretty much half of first shoot went really pff). Hm and then still waiting for more Pukifees or as my husband calls them, the CookieFee Army. I have a WS Bonnie coming for me and my husband is getting NS Zoe and NS Bonnie for himself.

Right now I’m sneezing my head off, I’ve caught a really nasty cold and it’s ranging between really sneezy and watery to omg-I-can’t-breathe. Very annoying. I should actually be writing an essay on the patenting of life but that leads me to the bushes when I try, I think my braincells have come out of my nose by now. Yes, I know, eww.

Moving on, since I really lack sincerely intelligent things to say today, I will just create the elevator music effect with a picture:

This is my favorite picture of Cookie so far. Buut anyway, this was my first blog entry to which I shall return in a year and sob about how awfully beautiful life was. Or something.
